How to calculate the Area of Polygons
As I described before, the area is the surface of a shape. An example is the grass on a plot of land. You need to know how to calculate the area of several polygons (a polygon is a 2-D shape with three sides or more). The formula's to calculate the area of these polygons you have to know. Do not worry! When you look at the following videos during your maths revision you will understand the formula's so you do not have to remember anything.
You need to be able to calculate the area of the following polygons (or a combination of them when you are give a compounded figure) for they may appear on your IGCSE GCSE maths exam:: - Square - Rectangle - Triangle - Trapezium - Parallelogram
