Mensuration
Although the word 'mensuration' perhaps is new to you, I am sure you have already been working with it. What is the perimeter of the rice-field on the picture, how much air will fit inside a football and what is the surface area of the pyramids of Giza? All these questions can be answered with our understanding of mensuration. For your IGCSE GCSE maths exam you will have to be able to calculate the perimeter, area and volume of various shapes in various situations. It is therefore in your own interest to carefully study all the maths activities, example questions and FREE resources which I created for you for your maths revision. Have a look at the video below in which I give you a practical example of the importance of our understanding of mensuration. Because if you are unable to calculate there is, as you will discover in the video, only one alternative left.
