How to solve Simultaneous Equations Graphically
If we have one equation and one unknown/variable, we can solve the equation (eg 2x + 1 = 9). When we have two unknowns/variables we need two equations to find both their values. In that case we are solving two equations simultaneously (at the same time). In the past we have learned two strategies to do so successfully; the substitution and the elimination method. Today we will solve two equations simultaneously by using a third method; the graphical method. So study all the example questions during your maths revision in which I will explain to you how to solve simultaneous equations graphically. Important to consider while solving each question is what does the answer represent? Good luck and have fun!
