How to Expand Expressions
In this section I will explain to you how to exp\and expressions. Expanding means making something bigger. In this context it means to get rid of the brackets in an expression. You will learn how to get rid of those brackets and will also understand what to take into account when you have to expand and simplify an algebraic expression. Could you already expand and simplify the following expression? 3(2x - 5) - 4(x - 12). Study all the videos and example maths questions during your maths revision and pass your IGCSE GCSE Maths exam. Each video will contain something new for you to consider so please do not skip any thinking you understand it already! Let me know on the forum if you still don't understand how to expand an expression. I will be happy to help you with your maths and answer your questions. The answer to the question above by the way is 2x + 33. Did you get the same answer? Good luck and have fun studying for your maths!!
