Vectors have a particular magnitude (size) and a direction. Therefore make sure, on your GCSE IGCSE maths exam, to carefully examine which direction your vector is pointing towards for this will affect your answer. We use Pyhtagoras' theorem to calculate the magnitude of a vector. If the direction of a vector changes, will the magnitude change as well?
